Random Blessing

I believe blessings come disguised and often are not unknown the hour the second it comes. Yet again, whether a blessing or not, it depends on ones interpretation. Big or small, blessing is a blessing. And I truly feel blessed… At this moment, should you too feel blessed, please give thanks~ Cause I truly can’t stop giving thanks to the utmost high…

The week before last week, my brother was here. And guess what, following that, my parents came! And we had a heck of a time…

BUSY








BUSY… that was the word that describes best the life I had for the past ONE Month… Occupied with itineraries… Indeed I am amazed with the profound wisdom in the Chinese character. A word itself can contain much meaning. Take this busy word for instance. Busy is a word that comprises the word heart and dead. Literally, the heart is dead. In another word… No life… X.X
Charged with itineraries to complete daily, it is indeed tiring... It’s like time is running out! And yet there is so much to do! @.@

Well anyways, for now, at least one of the biggest worry has been put down by half- EXAM Indeed, exam makes my heart dead. Dead in a sense, there are so much other things you want to do. BUT because of exam, you have to put down so many things and put them to dead mode for the period of time until the exam ends.

Nevertheless, there are things that rebuild me… above all, the Word of God and Friends… who gives in their support, their LOVE, their care, their companion… Indeed, the journey, when walked together, does seem to be easier…

And at such moment, I just have the feeling that I am so blessed! To have been ‘rewarded’ such bunch of friends… And it is in times like these that I feel indebted to them for their support for me.. And as for me, what have I done?

All I can say is THANK YOU! And the least I could do was PRAY for them and that The Lord God will keep them well… And I know He would…

Kite Flying

Sunshine... after weeks of moody n cloudy weather... Well, it was then when we finally made it to fly the kites.. so a bunch of friends whom had nothing much better to do went kite flying...

Nevertheless, as usual... Kite flying usually end up losing the kite... Ghi Waie lost his nice and 'gay' kite... hahaha... Poor thing... Well, as Valentines approaches, kite flying reminds me of a life philosophy where in a relationship...

Both parties needs to know when to let go and pull tight... if pulled or released mistakenly, the kite might fly away... or land... or... even get caught amongst the trees... i have to clarify.. i'm no relationship expert here... but... its just a sort of reflection thingy...

DA BAI NIAN

The year of OX sure has been a hectic ones... hectically eating, bai nian, fellowship, which in turn, turned into 'fei low ship' (getting fat)... well... i got the opportunity to meet up with some reli OLD friends... especially the ones from high school... gee... life's reli like a box of chocolate... life ater form 5 has reli change everyone... some nerdy nerdy people are reli looking alive nowadays.. and some whom used to look like a swan are becoming like crows... anyways... human change... be it exterior or interior...

And when people grow up, of course people start to get curious at each others marital status... and some checking on availability... While some found love... some lost it.. and some really indulging in it...

Ushering the Oxen Year

Let there be light was God's method of creating light.. and since then, the dark was separated from the light... from that moment i believe was when things could be seen and it is the FUNDAMENTAL of photography... As Chinese New Year is striking near, the Miri market seem like a scene of people bracing for the coming of black parade rather than a a merry parade... i manage to take some photos after attending a banquet of my father's friend... TRUMP


It’s been a long time since I last have had a good post faith station outing… Fuh~

The dinner was good, the chatting, the laughter and most importantly the game. The game of ‘Trump’!!! Please! Not Donald Trump! Okay! It’s the card game!

Prior to that, the busyness and the hectic-ness of the week have almost taken toll of me. Despite a whole day of sleep and watching some interesting YouTube clips, my mind and soul has been restless. The post- faith station session has really refreshed me. My spirit’s fire has been slightly re-kindled. So much stress has come upon me that I think my mind has come to a point of almost shut down!

Nevertheless, the Lord has been good! The game of trump session, took away my burden and transgression for a moment. And also, it refreshes my mind on an issue. It reminds me on a small part of an email which my friends sent me long ago. The line goes, “God will not ask how BIG your house is; Instead, God will ask, How many people have you welcomed into your house”.

I believe that is utmost true. What is the point of having a huge house when there are only a few people who inhabits it? Though some house may be small, but its humbleness welcomes people in, that’s the point of a true warm house. Which I think Brother Sam, Danny and Adele has done a great job!

I really felt welcomed. It was really like a Chinese New Year visitation! The game, the drinks, the food! Oh my! Anyways, thanks for lifting my stress and giving me such an enjoyable time. Time to fight for the coming war! Exams! Wish me all the best!

Enough!



It been a hectic week! Fuh, finally the load has been taken off after the submission of my assignment today. Now, begins the nightmare. As the exam week encroaches, revision is a vital step to prevail over the fear of failure. ENOUGH! Is the key! Enough of failing, victory is what I claim for. Nevertheless, been pondering is there a better alternative than exams? Though over the years, this topic has been debated numerous times and it seems exam is still very much around…

Being in the academic world, I do think time is of essence. We are to master a subject within 12 Weeks! From almost nothing, we have to master the unit. So much so I sometimes wonder if books are of use. It’s not like when we pass our exam, we are sure to be good at the practical.
The whole holistic institution is not that intellectual after all. We are merely a few living books which repeat whatever the books have written. No doubt, I am not against examination though. Examinations do play a role in ‘filtering’ some lazy bums who dwell in the holistic body and act to be a drip. It’s really an amazement to see so many types of people in the university.

From group assignments, one will be able to see the assortment of people. Some who makes you love, some who makes you hate. Some who just makes you adore them. I was once told of my purpose in the university is to mould myself. From study, one is able to shape ones many skills. Ability to persevere, communicate, patience and so forth…

Thru the trials and error, one is changed. Of course not everyone goes thru that. Some remained the same. Whilst some really ‘wasted’ their time… and others’ time… thus, I think my experience in the academia world has thus brought me quite far. I have learnt a lot thru the trials and error… I thank God for the opportunities that has step up my door and pls, help me thru it.

Last but not least, I recall my spiritual encounter when my nightmare was haunting and I was terribly terrified. I was shown a particular quote which made everything still for a moment… “If you fail to learn, Learn to Fail”

Glad

Recently, many have asked of me to update my blog. Of course first of all, I have to apologize for being absent in presenting any of my thoughts. And though due to my 5 weeks of absence in updates, I am indeed glad that many of my fellow readers are still here checking in once in a while to see if I have updated. While some cease to check it so often that they fixed a tracker to inform them as soon as I have updated my blog. Either way, I am grateful for their patience and love in anticipating my update.

Indeed many has occurred and many incidents have taken place. Through that, many inspirations have come and go. What a waste, I truly thought a point. But, what to do, Life’s brief candle. As I have shared particularly with a friend. That has got to be one of the best literature I can still recollect from my high school bench syllabus. I can’t help but to post it here and remind my fellow mates about it.

Certainly many of us are familiar with the meaning from interpretation by our fellow linguists in the education field. But, the poem seems resounding in life. Not my life particularly, but in lives of those who have chooses to end their life. What a sad drama when people have nothing more that they can stay for, they chose to end their life.
I am putting forth this reflection of my upon a series of case of suicide that has taken place in recent month. Some may think they are stupid, or some may say they are brave. I am sure there are a series of plot behind the scenes which many not know. Is life really nothing but just struts and frets by a poor player upon the stage and tall tale told by an idiot with full of sound and fury and then is heard no more?
That leads to the core of today’s post. I personally don’t think so. At least… Then, what on earth are we here for then? That, I leave it to the audience to solve. Perhaps my recommendation on the book, Purpose driven life by Rick Warren, would be of great reference. In simple, for everything that happens and its there, know it. There’s a reason behind it. We may not be able to contain it now, but, take a pinch of faith; we will be able to comprehend it perhaps sometimes later in life. Familiar? Yes, I have heard it since I was young. I once asked my dad, how come suddenly I have a younger sister, when mom was at hospital after delivering my younger sister. And the answer I always get? You’ll know it when u grow up… Gladly I understand it now…  Till then… Thanks for reading~

Kurang Skill

In the recent events of life, I have noticed a particular pattern of my social life. It is in this bustling urban place, full of people from different kind walk of life, I think am getting particularly less skillful at socializing already. Initially, thinking the more I commune, the more skillful I will be. It is however not.


Social seems to be a difficult thing for me. It wasn’t easy as it seems to me before anymore. Often finding myself in the wrong place, wrong timing and wrong words. Questions start to appear. Asking whether is it I have been staying too long and too often with the same group of people? So long and often that I have taken them for granted.


In a group of socializing unit, there are sure to be group of people who talks and there are sure group of people who are listeners. I particularly being a talker of course, play my role as a talker. However, at times, I do find myself in a complicated situation where people find me annoying. Some may suggest that I stay quiet some of the times. As for those who know me, if I ever stay quiet, something must have gone terribly wrong.






In this knotty situation, I have learnt that as we grow older, it is wise to only keep quiet and not talk too much. Even someone whom you thought you may relax and be easy with, may anytime be a complete stranger to you.

The Scent of the air



In this season of busyness, I have noticed many happenings surrounding me. The struts and frets of life have numbed me. Especially at this crucial moment of exam somber. Through these crucial moments, I have noticed some people surrounded by the scent of love in the air. Some stinking stench of hatred whiles some others, troubled by the unknown aura in the air. Still pondering and mulling over the circumstances they face.

I myself for one am trying to sort out my own affair. Running out of breath, love seems something at a distant shore. A relationship is nowhere to be seen at all. Admiring someone is of course still familiar. Favoring being favoring doesn’t bring any difference compared to admiring an actress on movie~

With that, this lights up the issue of having, being and with. With the Chinese proverbs resounding my mind, (有也烦,没有也烦) apparently, meaning… having and without both causes stress. It is particularly true I suppose. By having a relationship, it causes one to stress. Sometimes it can be very rewarding, but it does come with a price.

As for those who don’t have, are probably free and independent. However, without another counterpart sharing the journey of life. Human being human, are afraid of loneliness. Somehow? Some may say, friends and family. However, don’t family and friends have their limit. Some part of life, they just can’t fulfill their role in it?

A lot of the time, people tend to say, ‘you will have one when you are ready’ or ‘if it’s yours, it will be yours’. But yet again, when is it time? How do you know if you are ready if you never take the step further? And also… If it is yours, and you don’t take any effort in it, will it still be yours?

Advance? Or retreat?

In a courtship, it can sometimes be very confusing. It seems very much that sometimes the other party may be refusing. This is the time when one has to decide whether to march on. Or stay put at current standing position so as to wait for the ‘right timing’ to advance.

It is really very tiring. Staying put and without motivation. Just to see no result. It can be very exhausting in spirit. Just like hunting, someone once told me. When hunting the boar, you need to stay as still as possible and wait. Wait. Wait. And wait.

When the boar passes by, Bang! You got it! That’s the time when the hunter return triumphantly with his prize. OR, the hunter may shoot and gave out his position. The hunter may return without prize but only with disappointment, IF he is lucky. If not, the Boar may attack him, and kill him.

Or some more contemporary thoughts may go arguing that one should take the advancement and resist the negative thoughts. This, I call – perseverance. But, to my thought, I was thinking, isn’t it annoying when the person you just want to be friends keep advancing at me? Isn’t it annoying?

This is when; some would call for the ‘fishing technique’. You roll and let loose. Roll and let loose the fishing line. So, when do you actually let loose and when is the time when u actually pulls hard? Just as when you are to implement the ‘let loose’ strategy, the other party needs your attention. And just when you are about to implement the ‘pull hard’ strategy, the other party seems un-responding.




So, what? Do nothing? Do something? I’m confused…

Been pondering…

So long as I have lived, it is to my amazement to ponder what love is… what is the true love that we have been talking about? Some say, during the time of trials is the time when true love is seen. Some say, true love is when you take a bite into that chocolate cake. That feeling of floating and enjoyment is called true love. Some others say, true love is two people in never ending arguments. Or some might even say, love is like a game, sometimes I let you win and other of the time you let me win. I’ve even heard some people who say, true love is when the other is willing to sacrifice for one another.

So, what is it really this true love is? The bible did mention what Love is…





Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

I suppose Love cannot be described by words. Action speaks louder than words! It was said that when people ask Jesus how much does God love me? Jesus stretched His hands and died on the cross.

However, for us, human being human, how do we die for one another? It’s easy to say, till death do us apart. But, till criticism, till money matters, till the time of trials, many go apart. IS that what we call un-true love? But in our heart we still say, yes, I LOVE him/her. Isn’t it a conflict? At the end of the day, the question goes; do we really love ourselves more or the other person?






I guess, the time has not come to when I myself hasn’t really been involve in a relationship to really understand the mea
ning of Love. So, God Please so help me!

Its just so true~ don't you think?I find this quite true... Easy to say~ hard to do~ Why are things looks so easy.. and yet so difficult to put it into action? We often see it in others... But we don't see it in our heart! We often set apart something.. and yet never follow through it~ Isn't it funny? Some of the simplest thing that even a child can do, and yet we couldn't even do~ How funny and yet sad it is... And sometimes even worse... Things which we know its wrongful YET, we proceed to do it~ Using more and more wrongful ways to indulge in it~ to make things worse, when we're doing wrong, we STILL think we're doing the RIGHT thing... How is it that? Are we lying to ourself? How is it that we're lying to ourself and yet we don't know?

I personally think what the Chinese proverbs says is quite true. The audience is clear of what is going on and ONLY the main party is unclear (旁观者清,当局者迷). It's so true isn't it? In this way, one is really blinded. Not to say physically, but spiritually. One really has to rely on one's close friends or family. Though it may hurt. One may feel the pain so greatly intense that one may not go through it. BUT it's definite that one will go through it through the POWER of LOVE~ Nothing defeats the power of LOVE. The TRUE Love.

I recently recollect some precious pondering from watching the movie STARDUST. In the movie, the quote of LOVE is UNCONDITIONAL in fact very true. Some of the times, when one is in search of one's true love, we often neglect that our true love is RIGHT IN FRONT of our very own eyes~

It's just so Easy and yet so difficult~ Difficult, but not hard~ ONLY we need to make the choice of to or not to~ The Choice is ours to make~
