My Brother was here and we took the opportunity to go IPOH the old town to explore... It was heck of an adventure... based on some floating knowledge of Ipoh, and a 2 hour tourist guide help, we travelled Ipoh! And ehre are some pics... enjoys...

Well... after we hopped on the taxi.. we went to the Bus stop to catch the next bus back to KL... That was our day in Ipoh.. Hop u enjoyed it as much as i did... :P

Trip to Mdm Kang in Kamunting, Perak

On 13 April 2009, together with the Leos of Monash university and Lions of Pj Mutiara, we went to Kamunting, Perak about 4 Hours ride from Sunway City to support the cause of Mdm Kang whom at the age of 67 walks her cause of sheltering close to 200 dogs with all her life savings and some support of the kind-hearted community. Merely coping with life herself, Mdm Kang loves her dogs so much so that she dedicated her life to protect these dogs from being abused, dumped or some case, 'tortured to death'... Every Dog that Mdm Kang takes in has a story of its own.. to which Mdm Kang gives each of it a name and she remembers them ALL... While those of us with a dog or a fish at home, Mdm Kang is taking care of more to 200 of them...

The famous 'Nga Chio Kai" Ipoh Bean Sprout Chicken rice (Notice the fat bean sprout which when put into your mouth sprouts out sweet juice of the Bean Sprout. It is the signature dish of Ipoh)



Me buying the famous Salt-baked Chicken (YIM KOK KAI).... For only RM16, you get a whole chicken!!! It tastes fantastic... with lovely blend of chinese medical herbs... The Chicken was baked with hot salt that was pre-heated to the level that it was able to cook the chicken and then it forms a solid case around the chicken... A special method used by the chinese cooks to enhance the flavour of the chicken and also to bring out the essence of the chicken! MUST try in IPOH!!!

Trip to PD

It's been a while i haven't been updating this blog... I apologize to all my beloved readers... kakakka... hahaha... anyways... been busy going around with Leo club activities.. and occupied with my shutter works.. kakaka... here are some of the pics from PD... will update the trip to Kamunting, Perak as well.. My bday in Genting

Other than my parents and my family, another of my greatest blessing i count is having a bunch of really close bunch of friends... this year, they have made the effort to 'pre-book' me and actually brought me to Genting Highlands... It was an extremely fun trip... I must express my gratitude towards them for taking the effort to go Genting Highlands with me... What more could a friend ask if not the birthday remembered and cherished in such a memorable way... It was actually a sort of our 1st outing that involves a night stay... Well, thanks to Shirley and Song song for their precise and well arrangement that we got our free night stay... Too bad it was only a night... Here are some of the photos.. though not complete... but... suffice to show u our trip...

Mulu National Park

Indeed my summer has been a blessed one.. As if not enough, after I came back from KL after Penang and Malacca trip, my brother actually sponsored me to travel with him along with my cousin who happened to come back from Melbourne, to Mulu National Park.…


It was a superb trip… though I think it’s kinda short. .. Anyways, for those who are hunting for a great place to visit for holidays, I would greatly recommend Mulu National Park… It’s a paradise hidden and not well marketed, in my view.


The flight only took like 15 Minutes to reach the Mulu airport and the airport is much better than some of those those in Sarawak… as we arrived at Mulu Resort, we were greeted with warm towels and cool orange juice while the room is being prepared…
It was really amazing to see a 5-star resort in a midst of no where… The hotel itself was a splendid place to stay… The chalet’s wonderful…

After lunch, we immediately made our trip to 2 out of 4 famous caves, the Deer and Wind Cave… The walk to the caves was an enjoyable ones… all the way, it was aved with wooden planks.... And along the way, our ‘tour guide’ showed us some interesting features of the park. Like some special tree that produces a type of poison harvested by the Penans (The local indigenous people), used for war and hunting.



A bonus for those who thinks that jungle is filed with mosquitoes… AT Mulu, it’s surprisingly almost 100% mosquitoes free! The reason? THE BATS! Our visit to the Deer caves ends at around 5 or 6 when the Bats fly out of the cave to hunt for their food… According to the guide, not everyone’s so lucky to be able to catch the ‘moment’… as not everyday, the bats fly out to hunt for food… The special thing about the bats flying out for food is the flying formation before they fly out in schools! It’s amazing to see millions and millions of them flying out together and forming before setting out in groups!

The Garden of Eden!

After half a day of walking, at night, we had a series of international buffet! PLUS, a series of entertainment that includes dances performances, games and so on…

And the following day, we woke up early to catch up on the World longest canopy walk… It was magnificent and majestic…. It just got me wonder… How on earth did they did that! Strings and all that on the top of the trees… just for people like me who couldn’t climb trees… and yet get to enjoy the scenery of the virgin forest up in the trees….

And after that we continue to join the rest of the group who didn’t join the canopy walk at the jetty… AT the Jetty, we took one of the long boats upstream to Lang Cave and the famous Clearwater cave… along the stream, we took the chance of visiting the Penan settlement… The Penans are originally nomads. But due to the Government’s aid and scheme, they are now permanently settled down at the settlement. They live on the National park jobs and some handicrafts as well as hunting… They have wonderful Handicrafts! (It was such a short visit that I couldn’t manage to buy any souvenirs… Only photos…)



As we arrive at the jetty to the 2 caves, I manage to capture a picture of the rare lantern bug. Which was such an opportunity to capture the image at close range…


And after visiting the 2 caves we had lunch at the foot of the entrance to Clear water caves… WOW! How enjoyable… picnic style… Indeed the trip was an enjoyable one… After lunch we were sent back to the Hotel where we bathed and packed home… It was a short trip, but I really felt I enjoyed myself for a few days at Mulu…






Well, that’s it for now… There are still many parts of Mulu undiscovered due to time constraint… places like Sarawak Chamber (the world Largest cave) as well as the Summit of Mulu (which needs 3 days 3 nights) and the pinnacles (another specialty of Mulu)…
